Mirzapur Season 4: Writing Is Officially Underway!

Shweta Tripathi has officially confirmed that the writing process for Mirzapur Season 4 has begun. Speaking at the NDTV Yuva 2026 session, Tripathi shared her enthusiasm for the show's next installment. She revealed that actors, much like the fans, are eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story.

Tripathi, who has portrayed the character Golu Gupta for nine years, expressed gratitude for the role. She described Golu's evolution from a college student to a formidable figure as a significant journey, emphasizing the strength and resilience the character embodies. Tripathi highlighted how playing such complex characters allows actors to grow.

The actress also reflected on her personal growth, noting that her dedication to fitness was influenced by the demands of playing Golu, especially given the character's transformation and need for physical and mental readiness. She also acknowledged the importance of such opportunities in an actor's career, particularly for impactful female roles.

Her career began with television shows before a breakthrough in the 2015 film Masaan. She has since worked across various platforms, including notable projects like Haraamkhor, Zoo, and several web series such as Made in Heaven and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein.
