Dame Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan have commenced filming for the second season of the Guy Ritchie crime series, MobLand. The veteran actors were recently seen on location at the upscale Scott's restaurant in Mayfair, London, braving the cold for their roles. Mirren, 80, portrays matriarch Maeve Harrigan, while Brosnan, 72, plays her mob boss husband, Conrad.

The series itself delves into the high-stakes world of powerful London crime families, chronicling the conflict between the Harrigans and a rival syndicate aiming to dismantle their empire. Season 2 is slated to continue the narrative from the dramatic cliffhanger of the first season's conclusion, which involved significant violence and betrayal.

Fans have largely responded positively to the gangster drama since its launch on Paramount+ in April, praising the ensemble cast which also includes Tom Hardy. The show has garnered a respectable 78 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating strong viewer engagement with its depiction of criminal underworld power struggles.
