Albania: New Hollywood Hub Rises

Mirak Studio, founded by Jamie Neale, Chris Beyrooty, Grayson Stubbs, and Klevis Elmazaj, has announced plans to build a significant production facility in Albania. This venture aims to capitalize on the rapid expansion of global film, television, and commercial production, addressing a gap in infrastructure within emerging European markets.

The planned studio complex will feature advanced LED virtual production stages, purpose-built sound stages, a fully equipped podcast studio, and a rental equipment department. It will also include two large-scale stages, Stage A and Stage B, complemented by a substantial outdoor backlot for extensive set construction.

This development is strategically positioned to serve as a next-generation production hub. Mirak Studio founders highlighted the Balkan region's potential, citing its balance of cost efficiency, attractive incentives, and the opportunity to establish modern infrastructure.

The facility intends to foster growth by supporting international productions while simultaneously bolstering the local Albanian entertainment industry. The goal is to create new employment opportunities and solidify the Balkan region's standing as a long-term destination for creative and production endeavors.
