Summary
- "Miraculous" franchise celebrates 10th anniversary
- Veteran producer John Cohen and writer Matt Roller join the project
- New theatrical animated film in development to expand the hit series

The "Miraculous" franchise, a beloved girl-power blockbuster set in Paris, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and preparing for its next theatrical animated adventure. Miraculous Corp, the joint venture formed just over a year ago between Mediawan and Zag, the outfit founded by "Miraculous' writer, director and producer Jeremy Zag, has brought on board veteran producer John Cohen ("Despicable Me," "The Angry Birds Movie") and writer Matt Roller ("Rick And Morty," "Community") to work on the new project.
The upcoming big-screen installment will mark the next chapter in the "Miraculous" franchise, whose first feature film, "Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir," was a global hit in 2023. While the film streamed on Netflix in several territories, it thrived at the box office across most of Europe, grossing over $40 million. The musical film also broke ground as the first female-powered superhero movie set in Paris.
Cohen and Roller will be collaborating with Jeremy Zag, who directed the first "Miraculous" film and will also serve as a producer on the new project. The announcement was made by Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and global operations, who expressed excitement about the team's ability to "ensure our film not only thrills audiences but also deepens their connection to these beloved heroes."
