The animated film Minions 3, now officially titled Minions & Monsters, is scheduled for release on July 1, 2026. This marks an earlier debut than its initial June 30, 2027, date. A recent trailer, first shown during Super Bowl LX, provides the initial look at the film's plot.
The trailer introduces a meta-concept, showing the Minions participating in the making of a movie. Their on-screen battle scene escalates dramatically as they turn on and bite the human actors.
This new adventure is helmed by Academy Award nominee Pierre Coffin, who also voices the Minions and directed previous installments. Brian Lynch penned the script, with Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan producing. Minions 3 promises a unique twist on the franchise's signature humor.
