A significant expansion is coming to the UK with the introduction of a new £50 million Minecraft World theme park. Set to open its gates in 2027, this marks the first-ever theme park dedicated to the popular game.
The centerpiece attraction will be 'Escape the Nether,' the world's inaugural Minecraft rollercoaster. This indoor ride promises a high-speed adventure, taking passengers through dark mines before a Nether Portal transports them to an Overworld-themed area.
Complementing the attractions, the Minecraft World Hotel will offer guests a unique stay with 69 rooms across four floors. The hotel's design incorporates iconic Minecraft blocks and items, with immersive features like 'Nether Portal' themed lifts and corridors, a 'potion' bar, and an underwater-themed restaurant.
While an official opening date in 2027 is yet to be announced, the development aims to bring the game's world to life for fans. Merlin Entertainments has expressed excitement about creating an immersive environment where fans can not only play but also stay within the Minecraft universe.
