Milly Alcock soars as Supergirl in 2026!

Milly Alcock will embody Supergirl in a new film scheduled for release on June 26, 2026, after her introductory appearance in 2025's Superman. This marks the latest iteration of the "Woman of Tomorrow" on screen, a character first appearing on film in 1984 with Helen Slater. Slater, who played Kara Zor-El in the 1984 "Supergirl" movie, later reprised DC Comics roles as Lara-El and Eliza Danvers.

Other actresses have significantly contributed to the Supergirl legacy. Laura Vandervoort was the first to portray the hero on television in "Smallville" from 2007 to 2011, later playing a villain in the "Supergirl" series. Melissa Benoist held the role for the longest duration, starring as Kara Danvers for all six seasons of the "Supergirl" television series from 2015 to 2021.
