Scinto's creative passion, influenced by her artist father and fashion-loving mother, blossomed in middle school. She fondly recalls sourcing materials from JOANN Fabrics in Milford. Her store, which opened in October within the Milford City Lifestyle magazine's studio, features exclusively made-to-order luxury items, including handmade women's wear and gowns.
The designer is also developing distinct clothing lines: 'Milford Girl' for women and 'Milford Pooch' for dogs, reflecting her local roots and love for her pet, Daisy. Scinto champions local businesses, stating that every item in her studio is crafted by local makers.
She encourages aspiring female designers to persevere, noting that childhood dreams can indeed become reality. A Holiday Fashion Gala and Runway Show, showcasing Scinto's and other local designers' work, is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at Genesis of Milford, with free admission beginning at 6 p.m.
