Summary
- Cyrus nearly revealed her engagement by trying to search for the ring.
- Her fiancé, Maxx Morando, hid the ring in his pocket near his knee.
- Cyrus' new album, Bass Persuades, is set for release on Sept. 18.
Miley Cyrus recounted a near-disastrous moment during her engagement to musician Maxx Morando. While on a walk in Japan last year, Cyrus admitted she attempted to search Morando's pockets for the engagement ring, fearing he had it.
She confessed to having an internal battle, wanting to avoid throwing a tantrum if she found no ring. Unbeknownst to her, Morando had the ring concealed in his pocket near his knee, a spot she failed to check.
Morando successfully proposed on one knee, surprising Cyrus, who was grateful she didn't ruin the special occasion. The couple, together for six years, became engaged last year.
Morando previously described feeling immense pressure to keep the engagement secret, comparing the experience to movie proposals. Cyrus's new album, "Bass Persuades," is slated for release on September 18, with the artist aiming for a "Pink Floyd but gay" sound. She is also scheduled for two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in October.
