Mike Wolfe is set to launch a new series, History's Greatest Picks, on the 2026 TV schedule. This marks a new chapter for the reality star, prompting reflection on his early days with his former American Pickers co-host, Frank Fritz. The timing of this career change has led Wolfe to think frequently about Fritz, who passed away last year at the age of 60.
Wolfe feels a debt of gratitude towards Fritz and has recently shared memories of their time on American Pickers, recalling how they "had no idea" what they were doing in the beginning. Despite earlier rumors of a feud and Fritz's firing, Wolfe confirmed they reconciled before Fritz's death.
The upcoming series, History's Greatest Picks, will feature Wolfe exploring significant historical finds. While it will be less personal than American Pickers, it is expected to appeal to history enthusiasts. An early episode will reportedly focus on the iconic 1968 Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in the film Bullitt.
