Mike Epps Lands New Netflix Comedy Series

Mike Epps is set to star in and executive produce a new comedy series for Netflix titled "My Father's Son." This project represents an evolution of his ongoing creative partnership with the streamer, which has spanned over a decade. The series is reportedly inspired by the life of rising comedian Chris "CP" Powell.

The upcoming show has undergone a notable development journey, previously being considered for development as both a live-action series at HBO Max and an animated series at Netflix. The current iteration is slated for live-action production.

Epps' recent Netflix special, "Delusional," released on January 27, 2024, achieved significant success, marking his strongest launch on the platform with nearly four million views in its first week.
