Mike D, a member of the iconic Beastie Boys, has launched his career as a solo artist with the release of the song "Switch Up." This new track is his first solo musical offering since 2011.
The song "Switch Up" emerged from creative sessions in Mike D's home studio, where he collaborated with his sons, Davis and Skyler Diamond. These sons are known for their indie-dance duo, Very Nice Person. The brothers had previously shared a stage with their father, performing Beastie Boys classics.
Mike D's solo performances will accompany the song's release. He is scheduled to play live on May 10 at Sid the Cat Auditorium in South Pasadena, California. Additionally, two dates are planned for May 22 and 23 at Xanadu Roller Arts in New York.
