Middle Schoolers to Rock with Foreigner on Stage
23 Jul
Summary
- 25 middle schoolers will perform with Foreigner.
- The students were selected via a radio contest video submission.
- Foreigner will donate $500 to the school's music program.

A chorus of 25 students from Manchester Township Middle School is scheduled to perform alongside the legendary rock band Foreigner. The special performance will take place on Sunday, July 26, at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. These young musicians, most of whom are 12 years old, will join the band to sing their iconic 1984 hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is."
The opportunity arose after the chorus submitted a video to a contest held by 105.7-FM The Hawk. Foreigner, currently on tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, has also committed to donating $500 to the Manchester Township Middle School's music program. Choir Director Katie Sherman, who has her own performance background, is preparing the students for this unique experience, noting their excitement and a few natural nerves about the large venue capacity.
