"Middle Life" stars Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis, the real-life couple and lead vocalists of the Canadian band July Talk. The narrative centers on Andie, a new mother and wedding planner who feels unfulfilled despite her meticulously planned life. Her path crosses with Ryan, a plumber, after she rescues him from an accident. Their ensuing connection challenges their perspectives and sparks a newfound appreciation for life.
The film, shot in Toronto and Los Angeles, is Moondi's latest feature following "Diamond Tongues" and "Sundowners." It previously screened at the Calgary and Vancouver Film Festivals and was named a Top 10 Canadian Film of 2025 by The Globe and Mail.
"Middle Life" began its Canadian release on June 5 with a week-long run in Toronto, preceded by a nationwide one-night event screening on June 10. Special sneak previews with cast and crew Q&As are scheduled for July 29 and July 30 in Los Angeles.
