Beloved actor Michael Patrick, known for his roles in "Game of Thrones" and "Blue Lights," has passed away at the age of 35. Patrick died on Tuesday at Northern Ireland Hospice after a battle with motor neurone disease (MND), a condition he was diagnosed with in February 2023. His wife, Naomi, announced his death, describing him as an inspiration with an abundance of spirit and infectious laughter.
Originally from Belfast, Patrick trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and also appeared in "Soft Border Patrol" and "My Left Nut." He gained significant recognition for his theatre work, including a performance as Richard III for which he won an award in January 2025. Despite his diagnosis, Patrick continued to act and write, finding solace and positivity through his creative endeavors. In 2025, he was honored with the Overcoming Adversity Award at the Spirit of Northern Ireland Awards.
