Michael Douglas: My Secret Affair with Jeanne Tripplehorn

Michael Douglas has revealed a previously undisclosed affair with co-star Jeanne Tripplehorn during the filming of the 1992 film Basic Instinct. In his memoir, 'One Helluva Ride,' Douglas shared that he developed strong feelings for Tripplehorn while working on the erotic thriller in San Francisco.

Douglas explained that Tripplehorn was hesitant to start a relationship due to his marital status, but he convinced her he was formally separated from his wife. He noted that the on-screen passion between them reflected their genuine, albeit brief, affair.

Their relationship concluded after filming wrapped. Douglas reached out to Tripplehorn for permission before including the details in his memoir, to which she agreed. He also admitted to a past romance with Kathleen Turner during a separation from his then-wife, Diandra, while making 'Romancing the Stone.'
