Michael Douglas: Jack Nicholson Teased My Hair Acting

Michael Douglas recently shared amusing anecdotes about his friendship with Jack Nicholson, revealing that Nicholson often teased him about his "hair acting." Douglas emphasized that a character's hairstyle has consistently been a vital element in his process of developing and understanding them. He cited examples such as the flat top hairstyle chosen for his role in "Falling Down" and the greased-back look for "Wall Street," noting that these decisions were instrumental in shaping his performances. Douglas and Nicholson, despite their long-standing friendship and shared work on "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," have never acted together on screen.

Nicholson has not been seen in a film since 2010's "How Do You Know." Meanwhile, Douglas has intentionally taken a break from acting since 2022. He explained that after nearly six decades of continuous work, he felt the need to pause, stating he did not want to be someone who "dropped dead on the set." While he has no immediate plans to return to acting, Douglas has not officially retired, leaving the door open for a "special" project.
