Michael Che's Surprise Gig in Minneapolis Brews Laughter

Michael Che, a prominent comedian and head writer for Saturday Night Live, recently surprised audiences with a stand-up performance at Sisyphus Brewing in Minneapolis. The intimate show, held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, was met with high demand, with tickets selling out rapidly after a low-key announcement by the brewery.

Che, who has co-anchored SNL's 'Weekend Update' desk alongside Colin Jost since 2014, has a notable comedy career beyond the sketch show. He has released popular stand-up specials on Netflix, including 'Shame the Devil' in 2021 and 'Michael Che Matters' in 2016. Furthermore, he wrote and starred in HBO's sketch comedy series 'That Damn Michael Che' for two seasons. Recent reports also suggest a new stand-up special from Che is anticipated soon, potentially within the next two months.
