Miami Crime Drama: Revenge and Family Feuds

Miami's vibrant, yet dangerous, streets are the setting for Peacock's new crime drama, M.I.A., premiering May 7. Created by Bill Dubuque and showrun by Karen Campbell, the series delves into the dark side of family business, where drug running is a way of life for Etta Tiger Jonze. When tragedy strikes, Etta is forced into a brutal fight for survival.

The trailer reveals a devastating loss for Etta, with most of her family being murdered. This fuels her burning desire for revenge as she sets out to eliminate those responsible. The series also shines a spotlight on Miami's rich cultural tapestry, featuring the city's significant Latino and Haitian communities through Etta's alliances.

M.I.A. is notable for being produced in Miami, a rarity for shows set in the city due to high production costs and a lack of state incentives. The 9-episode season will feature a strong ensemble cast, adding to the anticipation for this gritty new drama.
