The life of acclaimed masked rapper MF Doom, who passed away in Leeds in 2020, is the subject of a new podcast exploring the mysteries surrounding his final years. Born Daniel Dumile Thompson in 1971, the artist died at St James's hospital at age 49 from a lack of oxygen following a drug reaction.
His presence in Leeds was a surprise to many, particularly as he had been barred from entering the US since 2010. This denial of entry was partly due to a criminal record from the 1990s. He was forced to leave his wife and children in Atlanta, only able to travel to the UK.
