- The journey leads through an extravagant amusement park.
- Debut fiction feature from Colombian artist Sebastián Múnera.

Sebastián Múnera's debut fiction feature, "Meteorite," is set to have its world premiere at Venice Critics' Week from September 2nd to 12th. This Colombian film centers on Tefa and Nia, who reside in a small town near the Magdalena River and are raising Nia's young nephew. Their lives take a turn when Nia convinces Tefa to join her in smuggling cellphones into a regional prison.
The narrative unfolds as they navigate an unusual amusement park, built on the former estate of a drug lord. Amidst water slides and concrete dinosaurs, forgotten memories surface under the oppressive summer heat. The synopsis hints at Tefa's inevitable confrontation with the pervasive violence that lies just beneath the surface of this surreal landscape.
MoreThan Films acquired the distribution rights, with managing partner Queralt Pons Serra praising Múnera's singular artistic vision and the film's immersive, atmospheric quality. Múnera, a Colombian visual artist and filmmaker, has previously had works featured at festivals like IFFR Rotterdam and DOK Leipzig.
