Iconic metal band Metallica will debut their 'Life Burns Faster' residency at Las Vegas' Sphere this October. The eight-show run will uphold the 'No Repeat Weekend' tradition, meaning no songs will be repeated across the Thursday and Saturday performances. Tickets are set to go on sale on March 6 at 1 p.m. ET, with options for two-night passes and single nights available.
Drummer Lars Ulrich expressed excitement about the residency, calling the Sphere 'uncharted territory' and an opportunity to reinvent fan interaction. Metallica's ongoing M72 world tour has already attracted over four million fans globally since its April 2023 launch. The band's upcoming Sphere dates are scheduled for October 1 & 3, 15 & 17, 22 & 24, and 29 & 31.
The Sphere, known for its high-resolution LED display, opened in September 2023 and has hosted various artists. Metallica will be the first hard rock/metal act to perform there. The venue has also announced its first live boxing match, a rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, on September 19.
