Emily Blunt: Meryl Streep Wanted to 'Hurl' at My Wedding

Emily Blunt recently shared a humorous anecdote about Meryl Streep's experience at her 2010 wedding to John Krasinski. The ceremony took place on July 10, 2010, at George Clooney's estate on Lake Como, Italy. Streep, who had previously worked with both Blunt and Krasinski, was a guest at the celebration.

During a boat ride on Lake Como with approximately 60 guests, a DJ played ABBA's "Mamma Mia." Blunt recounted how her mother and Krasinski's mother began dancing towards Streep, who had starred in the film adaptation of the musical. Streep later confided to Blunt that her reaction was to "hurl myself into the lake."

Despite Streep's initial reaction, Blunt confirmed that pictures exist of them all dancing together. The couple, who met in 2008, married two years later and have since had two daughters. George Clooney had offered his Lake Como estate for the wedding, with Krasinski initially hesitant to accept the generous offer.
