She previously stated in 2024 that she didn't identify with Sabrina, finding the character's struggles with magical abilities and desire to be a wallflower unrelatable.
In contrast, Hart found a stronger connection with her character Clarissa. She explained that playing Clarissa allowed her the freedom to discover her own identity concurrently with her character's journey, blurring the lines between their experiences as they were the same age.
