Actress Melissa Joan Hart recently shared on the "Sibling Revelry" podcast her reasons for declining a Playboy magazine offer. She explained that a 1999 Maxim magazine photoshoot, which featured her in her underwear, led to her father and brother enduring "torture" from jokes at their workplaces.

Hart stated that the negative impact on her family, particularly her younger brother, was the primary driver behind her decision. She emphasized that while she was not ashamed of her body, she did not want her family to experience further distress or mockery from such exposure.

The former child star also reflected on how this choice has become even more significant as she is now a mother to three boys. She expressed gratitude for not having those provocative images publicly available for her children to potentially encounter.
