Melanie Martinez's latest album, HADES, has been selected by fans as their favorite new release of the week. The alt-pop artist's 18-track collection garnered 67% of the vote in a poll, significantly outpacing other notable releases from artists like Conan Gray and RAYE. HADES is the follow-up to Martinez's 2023 album, Portals, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts.

Martinez described HADES as a reflection of the world we inhabit, stating it's a "cracked mirror" that captures rage while encouraging listeners to feel and create beauty amidst chaos. The album was previewed with singles such as "Possession" and "Disney Princess." Recently, Martinez held a "Listening Chamber" event in London to celebrate the album's release.
