Melanie Blatt has shared that her confidence, painstakingly built over 50 years, was shattered in just two hours while filming the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special. The All Saints singer felt emotionally raw and vulnerable, stating the experience stripped away her hard-won self-assurance.

Blatt recalled feeling embarrassed by All Saints' commercial success and pop direction, expressing a preference for working with artists like Timbaland and Missy Elliott. Despite her reservations, hits like 'Pure Shores' became the band's biggest, a fact she initially struggled with.

The singer also reflected on the personal challenges within the band, including navigating pregnancies with bandmate Nicole Appleton and the eventual dissolution of the group multiple times. The band, formed in 1993, had several reunions and splits before an indefinite hiatus was announced in 2022.

Looking forward, Blatt aims to establish a career outside of music, with aspirations for a cookery book or television program exploring global cheeses. Her primary life objective is to find peace and happiness.
