Meghan Trainor: Mom Life, New Album & Body Critics

Meghan Trainor, 32, is navigating a new phase of life with three young children and the upcoming release of her seventh album, 'Toy With Me,' on April 24. She revealed that she has faced intense criticism following her recent weight loss, a stark contrast to the body positivity message of her 2014 hit 'All About That Bass.' Trainor shared that she is now feeling more confident and strong, despite the negative public reaction.

The new album, 'Toy With Me,' is described as her most honest work yet. Tracks like "Still Don't Care" were inspired by negative comments about her appearance at the Billboard Women in Music Awards in 2025. Trainor emphasized the importance of protecting her peace by avoiding comment sections and focusing on her well-being.

Motherhood has significantly shaped her music and perspective. She welcomed her third child, daughter Mikey, via surrogate in January, joining sons Riley, 5, and Barry, almost 3. Trainor spoke about the challenges of making mom friends and the strain young children can put on a marriage, leading her to marriage counseling.

Trainor also discussed her journey with surrogacy for their third child, citing health complications in previous pregnancies. She detailed her extensive wellness journey, including working with a dietitian and trainer, and utilizing GLP-1 medications like Mounjaro to achieve a healthy weight. Trainor is also candid about seeking help, including therapy and a recent ADHD diagnosis.
