Summary
- A documentary executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was acquired.
- The film 'Cookie Queens' focuses on the Girl Scout cookie selling tradition.
- Roadside Attractions secured the US rights for theatrical release.

The documentary 'Cookie Queens,' co-executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has had its US rights acquired by Roadside Attractions. This film explores the well-known American tradition of Girl Scouts selling cookies, presenting it as a coming-of-age narrative.
This development comes after Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, ended its partnership with Netflix this month, with a spokesperson stating the brand is now ready to operate independently. Previously, figures indicated that a second season of her show, 'With Love, Meghan,' did not reach the top 1,000 most-watched programs on the platform.
The directors of Roadside Attractions described 'Cookie Queens' as a 'funny and deeply affecting portrait' of the girls and their families. Meghan, a former Girl Scout herself, called the documentary "one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of something that is an American tradition and rooted in nostalgia." The film, directed by Alysa Nahmias, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is slated for appearances at the SXSW festival before its theatrical debut over the summer. Archewell Productions partnered with Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films on the documentary.
