Meghan Rejects Royal Offer: 'Not Grand Enough'

Meghan Markle reportedly declined an offer to reside at The Falconry, a historic lodge on the Althorp estate, presented by Prince Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer. While Prince Harry was emotionally touched by the offer, viewing Althorp as 'sacred ground,' Markle allegedly deemed the property unsuitable.

Sources indicate Markle's decision was based on the property's perceived remoteness and lack of grandeur. She reportedly desires a residence offering significant privacy, robust security, considerable luxury, ample space, and convenient access to London.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently returned to the UK for an extended visit. Their children are also expected to begin schooling in Britain soon. The couple is currently staying in a friend's mansion in the Cotswolds while they search for a permanent UK home.

This rejection comes as the couple has previously been reported to seek a nine-bedroom home with a film studio and extensive private land. The Falconry offer, while appealing to Harry's sentiment, did not align with Markle's specific requirements for their new UK base.
