RHOC Star Loses Custody Over Son's Ritalin Use

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King has temporarily lost physical custody of her three children. This development follows an alleged incident where she administered Ritalin, a prescription medication for ADHD, to her seven-year-old son Hayes without a diagnosis. A source indicated the medication was given multiple times. The situation escalated when a school nurse contacted Child Protective Services, leading to an investigation.

As a result of the CPS involvement, King's ex-husband Jim Edmonds has been granted temporary sole physical custody of their children. King is currently permitted supervised visitation twice a week. A court hearing scheduled for December 9 will determine the long-term custody arrangement. This situation follows a previous altercation at Edmonds' home where King was accused of entering without permission.

King's former co-star Kelly Dodd has publicly defended her, stating King is a good mother and that she spoke with King after the news broke. Dodd mentioned King felt she was deemed a 'dangerous mother' due to the Ritalin allegations. The final custody order remains pending the upcoming court date.
