Megan Moroney has experienced a remarkable rise in country music over the past three years. Her latest album, "Cloud 9," debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in March. This achievement made it the first country album by a woman to top the chart since April 2024, and she is only the tenth woman to do so this century.
Adding to her accolades, Moroney received nine nominations for the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards, marking the most nods an artist has received in a single year. This past Friday, May 29, she embarked on her first arena headlining tour, with a sold-out show at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The tour's opening night featured a vibrant stage presence, with Moroney sporting various pink costumes. The energetic performance drew from her entire catalog but heavily featured tracks from "Cloud 9," which comprised 15 out of 23 songs. A surprise inclusion was "Hair Salon," a fan favorite from her 2022 EP.
Following the Columbus show, the tour is set to continue in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 30, and include two sold-out dates at Chicago's United Center. The U.S. leg is scheduled to conclude with two nights at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on August 21-22, before the tour heads to Europe.
