Meek Mill Drops Surprise Sequel to Hit Track

Meek Mill has unveiled "Nightmares to Dreams," a new track released via his Dream Chasers imprint. This song is considered a spiritual sequel to the iconic opening track from his 2012 debut album, "Dreams and Nightmares." The new single reimagines the melody with a reversed structure, beginning with its more aggressive segment, reminiscent of Meek Mill's earlier, hunger-driven sound.

This release marks Meek Mill's first new music since collaborating with G Herbo on "Survivor's Guilt" last year. Prior to that, he released the mixtape "Heathenism" in 2024 and the collaborative album "Too Good to Be True" with Rick Ross in 2023. Although it has been nearly five years since his last studio album, "Expensive Pain," the recent output suggests a more frequent release schedule is forthcoming.

The original "Dreams and Nightmares" intro is celebrated as one of the defining hip-hop intros of the 2010s. It has frequently closed Meek Mill's live performances and was even performed with Drake post-feud in 2018. Its cultural impact is further underscored by the Philadelphia Eagles' use of the song as pre-game intro music for Super Bowl LII in 2018 and again for Super Bowl LVII in 2023.
