Indie studio Media Res has elevated Christina Malach to the position of President of Scripted Series. In her new role, Malach will report directly to CEO and founder Michael Ellenberg, overseeing the studio's extensive portfolio of current and prospective scripted productions.
Malach joined Media Res in 2023 as SVP Development. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in the development of notable projects, including the recently ordered Netflix series Enigma Variations starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, and The Miniature Wife, which premiered on Peacock. Her previous experience includes senior development roles at Amazon Studios and Heyday Television.
This promotion follows the departure of Lindsey Springer, who is stepping down after six years as President of Scripted. Springer was key in shepherding series such as Pachinko and I'm a Virgo. She will transition to a producing role with the company, continuing her collaboration with Media Res.
