MBC GROUP and CJ ENM have established a long-term strategic partnership aimed at significantly expanding premium Korean entertainment across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This collaboration unites two prominent media entities with complementary strengths in Asia and the MENA region.
A core component of this alliance is the forthcoming launch of a dedicated Tving space within MBC Shahid. This branded area will serve as a premier destination for audiences throughout MENA to access curated, high-quality Korean content from CJ ENM, Tving, and other leading South Korean production studios.
Scheduled for release during 2026 are more than 13 new titles, augmented by over 20 selections from CJ ENM's extensive library. This multi-year agreement ensures a continuously expanding content offering. Selected titles will feature Arabic dubbing and subtitles, making premium Korean dramas more accessible to a wider audience in the region.
The partnership, announced at Mipcom, signifies more than a simple content licensing deal. It represents a shared, long-term ambition to elevate the presence of Korean entertainment in the MENA market. By combining streaming and linear television through MBC4, the venture aims to reach viewers across diverse viewing environments.
