- Norma determined to take control of Dellacorte family riches

In the season 2 premiere of the Apple TV+ series Palm Royale, which aired on November 12th, 2025, the show's protagonist Maxine (played by Kristen Wiig) finds herself once again on the outs, this time literally in a mental institution, following her public breakdown at the end of season 1. Joining her is Laura Dern's character Linda Shaw, who has been apprehended for an assassination attempt on President Nixon that was actually perpetrated by another character, Mary (Julia Duffy).
Meanwhile, the other ladies of the Palm Royale high society, including Dinah (Leslie Bibb), Evelyn (Allison Janney), and Mitzi (Kaia Gerber), are all navigating their own precarious positions and quests for luxury lifestyles. Looming over them all is the formidable Norma (Carol Burnett), who remains determined to use everyone around her as pawns in her scheme to take down Maxine and ensure the Dellacorte family riches remain under her control.
The season 2 premiere also features a musical number performed by Ricky Martin's character, Robert, who was shot in the season 1 finale. Showrunner Abe Sylvia explains that the musical number was a way to bring the audience back to the world of Palm Royale and see Robert, despite the dark themes of the episode.
