This ballet was inspired by Margaret Atwood's renowned trilogy of post-apocalyptic novels. The new standalone album explores profound themes, including the rapid pace of technological advancement, pressing ecological crises, and the enduring nature of human connection.
"MaddAddam" marks Richter's third collaboration with choreographer Wayne McGregor, following their previous successful projects, "Three Worlds: Music From Woolf Works" (2017) and "Infra" (2010). Richter has also recently focused on his solo work, releasing "In a Landscape" in 2024 and "The New Four Seasons - Vivaldi Recomposed" in 2022.
