A new feature film is in development, focusing on the critical 1942 Moscow summit between Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin. The production company 6th & Idaho, founded by The Batman director Matt Reeves, is behind the project. The film is based on a script by historian and screenwriter Simon Sebag Montefiore.
Montefiore described the movie as the culmination of his lifelong interest in Stalin, detailing the inside story of the leaders' encounter. He emphasized that during these few days, the fate of the entire world was precariously balanced. The script explores the dynamic between two of history's most formidable figures as global conflict raged.
Lynn Harris, producing partner at 6th & Idaho, praised the script as "wonderful." The historical meeting was a pivotal moment that significantly contributed to the Allied victory three years later, making it a subject rich with dramatic potential.
