Matt LeBlanc is returning to broadcast television in a new cop drama called 'Flint' for CBS. The series, currently in development, will see the former Friends star take on the role of a weary LAPD detective who is unexpectedly forced to continue his service beyond his retirement date.
Set to be executive produced by LeBlanc and showrunner Evan Katz, 'Flint' promises a smart, character-driven premise with a distinctive tone. LeBlanc's character attempts to get himself fired by bending rules and disobeying orders, only to discover these actions make him a more effective officer.
If ordered to series, 'Flint' would be filmed in Los Angeles and is anticipated to debut as early as the 2027-2028 television season. This marks LeBlanc's first broadcast role since the CBS sitcom 'Man With a Plan,' which concluded in 2020.
