The strong performance of "Matlock" was matched by the Season 3 premiere of "Elsbeth," which aired immediately after. The new episode scored over 9.2 million multiplatform viewers after a week of viewing, marking a 4% uptick from the show's Season 2 average of 8.8 million viewers.
The positive ratings for both shows are a testament to their growing popularity among viewers. "Matlock," in particular, has seen its audience steadily increase since its debut, joining fellow CBS series "Tracker" as one of the network's most-watched programs. "Elsbeth" has also cemented its place as a top-performing new broadcast series, with its debut season averaging 7.45 million seven-day viewers.
