The "Baywatch" reboot, premiering on Fox in January 2027, has added Mary McDonnell to its cast. McDonnell will portray Gayle, the mother of Stephen Amell's character, Hobie Buchannon. Gayle is depicted as a sophisticated woman with a humorous and caring nature, deeply invested in her family despite past complexities with Hobie.
The new iteration of the popular series will feature original stars David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak reprising their roles. Joining them are a host of new actors, including Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, Livvy Dunne, and Nadia Gray.
