Summary
- "Wonder Man" series delayed from December to January 2026
- Marvel TV boss cites competition from popular holiday films like "Home Alone"
- Yahya Abdul-Mateen II cast as lead, Ben Kingsley to reprise Trevor Slattery role

In a move to avoid competition from beloved holiday movies, Marvel has announced that its upcoming "Wonder Man" series will now premiere in January 2026 instead of the originally planned December release.
According to Marvel TV and animation head Brad Winderbaum, the decision was made to ensure the new series doesn't get "swallowed up" by the surge in viewership for classic films like "Home Alone," "Die Hard," and "Elf" during the holiday season. Winderbaum explained that Marvel wanted to give "Wonder Man" the best chance to stand out and attract audiences.
