As of October 29th, 2025, Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film, which promises to be an epic blockbuster. However, the movie's development has undergone some significant changes.
Initially, Marvel Studios had planned to center the film around the villainous Kang and the formation of the Young Avengers team. Writer Michael Waldron recently disclosed a scrapped plan that would have showcased the Young Avengers' victory over Kang, only to reveal that the antagonist they defeated was a "newbie" version of the character.
This sequence, which combined action and comedy, was something that many fans were excited to see. Unfortunately, due to Jonathan Majors' dismissal from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, those plans were ultimately abandoned, and the focus shifted to Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of the main villain, Doctor Doom.
The Young Avengers have been a highly anticipated team for Marvel fans, as several younger heroes have been introduced throughout Phases Four and Five. The Marvels' ending hinted at the team's formation, with Ms. Marvel recruiting Kate Bishop and mentioning Ant-Man's daughter as a potential member. However, the exact timing of their on-screen debut remains a mystery.
