Wahlberg's Vegas Land Deal: A $1.65M Plot Twist
25 Oct
Summary
- Mark Wahlberg sold 2.5 acres of undeveloped Las Vegas land for $17.25 million.
- He purchased the property for $15.6 million in 2022 with plans for a mansion.
- The ambitious $25 million mansion project never materialized, remaining on paper.
In December 2024, Mark Wahlberg finalized the sale of a 2.5-acre parcel in Las Vegas for $17.25 million. This transaction represented a gross gain of $1.65 million from his initial purchase in July 2022 for $15.6 million. The land, located in the exclusive Summit Club community, was intended for the construction of a substantial luxury family residence.
Wahlberg's vision included a 37,694-square-foot mansion with an estimated construction contract of $25 million. However, the ambitious project did not proceed to the building phase. In October 2024, Wahlberg sought an extension for the plan-review process, citing the need to finalize construction financing. Ultimately, he decided to sell the undeveloped land before the year concluded.
The sale, completed on December 31, 2024, was to an entity named Summit PS LLC. Wahlberg's original plan to establish a Nevada home for his family, following their move from California, did not materialize as envisioned with the construction of the proposed mansion.
