Before Mark Hamill cemented his legacy as the Joker, he first appeared as a DC supervillain in 1991. Hamill portrayed James Jesse, also known as the Trickster, in two episodes of the television series "The Flash." In his initial appearance, the Trickster developed an obsession with private investigator Megan Lockhart, attempting to make her his sidekick, Prank. His efforts were thwarted by the Flash.
Hamill returned for the "The Flash" series finale, "The Trial of the Trickster." In this episode, a new character, Zoey Clark, embraced the identity of Prank to assist the Trickster. Their plan involved brainwashing the Flash and attempting to ruin his reputation. However, the Flash eventually broke free from the Trickster's control. Hamill has since reprised his role as the Joker numerous times across various media.
