Mark Hamill Joins Twisted Metal Season 3 as Villain

Mark Hamill, an Emmy Award winner, is joining the cast of Peacock's Twisted Metal for its third season in a recurring role. He is slated to portray Pope Charlie Kane, the leader of the Eastern Sovereignty and the estranged father of the character Sweet Tooth. This addition promises to deepen the narrative of the series, which is based on the popular PlayStation game.

Anthony Mackie, an executive producer and star of the show, expressed excitement about Hamill joining the production, highlighting Hamill's legendary status and influence on acting. The series follows John Doe's journey across a post-apocalyptic wasteland, facing dangerous drivers and the menacing Sweet Tooth.

Twisted Metal was renewed for its third season in November, following a successful second season that garnered 993 million minutes viewed on Peacock. David Reed, known for his work on "The Boys" and "Supernatural," will serve as the new showrunner for the upcoming season, succeeding Michael Jonathan Smith.
