Mark Consuelos' father, Saul Consuelos, passed away peacefully in March after a prolonged illness. This sad news was shared by Mark on Live with Kelly and Mark, with several close friends and family members offering heartfelt tributes.

David Muir, a close friend of Mark and Kelly Ripa, commented on a tribute video, calling Saul "a true gentleman." TV mogul Andy Cohen and Mark's Riverdale co-star Marisol Nichols also shared warm words. Mark's sister, Adriana, and his daughter, Lola, posted deeply personal messages expressing their love and grief.

Kelly Ripa highlighted Saul's significant role in supporting their family, often helping with the children when Mark and Kelly were busy with work. She fondly recalled his presence at back-to-school nights and even shared a humorous anecdote about people mistaking him for Mark's husband due to their age similarity.

Saul Consuelos immigrated to the United States from Mexico as a teenager and dedicated decades of service to the Navy. He later met and married Camilla, an Italian woman, with whom he had three children, including Mark. His passing marks the first significant loss experienced by the Consuelos children.
