Mark Consuelos Desperate to Retain Sexiest Talk Show Host Title Against David Beckham

In 2024, Mark Consuelos, the 54-year-old host of Live with Kelly and Mark, won the title of Sexiest TV Host in PEOPLE's Readers' Choice poll, beating out Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Mario Lopez. However, as the 2025 Sexiest Man Alive season approaches, Consuelos is despairing over his chances of claiming back-to-back titles.

This year, Consuelos is competing in the category of Sexiest Football Club Owner, where he faces tough competition from the likes of Tom Brady (Birmingham City F.C.), Ryan Reynolds (Wrexham A.F.C.), and the 50-year-old David Beckham (Inter Miami CF). When his wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, read out Beckham's name as a nominee, Consuelos conceded, "Bye bye, Marky Mark," acknowledging the soccer star's star power.

Ripa joked that they had finally found someone who could knock Consuelos off his "pompous podium of constantly winning." The father of three proposed leveraging their talk show platform to boost his chances, but Ripa countered that Beckham didn't need to do any campaigning. Consuelos then pleaded directly to Beckham, "Let me win this one. David! Becks!"

Despite his pleas, Consuelos knows it may be a long shot, saying, "If I'm going to lose to anybody, it's gotta be David Beckham." Even Consuelos' former rival, Jimmy Fallon, dismissed Beckham's chances, saying the soccer star should "bow out" of respect for the competition.
