Canadian media veteran Marilyn Denis, aged 67, is stepping away from her broadcasting career after five decades. Her final broadcast on Toronto's CHUM 104.5 morning show is scheduled for Friday, June 26, concluding a significant chapter of her life.

Denis's journey began in Edmonton and led her through various roles, including reporting for PBS and a Calgary TV station. She also contributed to The Sports Network (TSN) in its early days. She later joined CHUM 104.5 in July 1986, co-hosting with Roger Ashby for 32 years.

Her profile rose with "Cityline," a lifestyle talk show she hosted for 19 years until 2008. Subsequently, she launched "The Marilyn Denis Show," which ran until 2023, solidifying her status as a household name.
