Rani Mukerji's latest film, Mardaani 3, has concluded its theatrical run as a box office disappointment, despite emerging as the franchise's highest earner. The movie garnered an estimated 48.3 crore net in India, equaling 56.99 crore gross. Although it experienced a decent opening, subsequent earnings were only fair, leading to its underperformance.
Despite the overall lacklustre performance, Mardaani 3 is poised to achieve a notable milestone. It requires a mere 1.7 crore to surpass the 50 crore net collection, a feat expected within the next few days. This would mark the first time a Mardaani installment achieves this financial target.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 also features Janki Bodiwala, Mallika Prasad, and Jisshu Sengupta. The film was released in theaters on January 30, 2026. For Rani Mukerji, crossing 50 crore net would be her second film to achieve this, following Talaash.
The film showed a significant 100% jump on its fourth Friday, earning 50 lakh compared to the previous day's 25 lakh, indicating a minor resurgence in its final weeks.
